“I’m going to first book a 4-day sailing trip around the Scottish fjords on board the Wylde Swan. The sheltered waters, green Highlands, good food and a hearty walk on one of the magnificent islands are just the kind of things that make my partner and me happy. Then I’ll book our journey for straight after the fjords from the Scottish port of Ullapool to Harlingen. We’ll get to hold watch and experience a true sailor’s life. It’s a little bit out of our comfort zone but a real adventure”.

Ullapool is only actually an hour’s flight away and it’s an hour by car for us to Schiphol. That convenience really does make a difference.

Juliette (29) and her boyfriend’s choice…

“My boyfriend and I both work and can take our breaks outside the school holidays. We’ve already done a lot of travelling in far-off countries, like trekking in Vietnam and surfing in Costa Rica. Now we want to do something totally different. We’re going to book a sailing trip across the North Sea from Scheveningen to Aalborg. With the helm in my hand and the salt on my skin, I’ll get to fully experience the fantastic night sky above us during my night watch. We’ll go from Thursday 27 June to Monday 2 July. It includes a weekend and that means less days to take off work”!

Boarding in Scheveningen is of course really convenient and I think we’ll take the Flixbus back from Aalborg.
